About Me
My name is Lavrentios Kazantzidis and Ι am a Theoretical Physicist with a PhD in Cosmology from the Department of Physics at the University of Ioannina, under the supervision of Prof. Leandros Perivolaropoulos. Currently working as a Junior Software Engineer at Niki Ltd Digital Engineering.
At Niki Ltd Digital Engineering, I am collaborating with automotive manufacturers utilizing advanced technological tools and methodologies to fully automate vehicular component testing, implementing the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) method of testing. In particular, in the HiL method of testing, authentic signals from a controller are linked to a simulated test system, creating the illusion that the controller is interacting with a real assembled product by using computer simulation tools and technologies. As a result, a large number of potential scenarios can be efficiently explored and simulated to test the controller without the need for expensive and time-consuming physical tests.
During my PhD studies I focused on the main (theoretical and observational) problems that plague ΛCDM, the Standard Cosmological Model that describes our Universe extremely well. Analysing a variety of cosmological data, I studied a plethora of alternative models (modified theories of gravity) that may be supported by the data and identified their observational signatures based on their quality of fit.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, reading books and polishing my programming skills. On this website, you will find further information about my publication record, my detailed curriculum vitae, as well as my portfolio. So start scrolling and have fun!
